Young Carers module and video interviews - Dept of Family & Community Services
Project description
Young Carers are children and young people who help care for a parent or sibling. These kids can have huge responsibilities but rise to the challenge nonetheless. This project was important and meaningful for me - I was proud to be part of bringing support to and awareness of Young Carers. The project encompassed an eLearning module and a set of interviews with three different families / Young Carers. These interviews were great to film and photograph and really brought home passion the kids have to help their family members as well as the issues they face. This certainly helped promote the message of the piece.
As a government initiative it was formally launched by the Minister for Family and community services and well received.
This module was developed in HTML and needed to support Accessibility features to WCAG AA standard.
